4--Week Notice

dear van,

today marks 4 weeks until you are scheduled to join us via a hole in mommy's tummy. right now, the hole is our only option b/c of your position (you are still laying in a transverse position), but should you turn head down, we might still opt for the hole-in-the-tummy option. we're not sure yet b/c we're waiting to get an estimate of your size. i'm voting BIG :-)

you are becoming even more fun to watch and feel. i know you're running out of room, and for that i am sorry, but it does make it easier to see you. today, you have somehow gotten one of your legs down from around your ear and you have it/your foot wedged into the left side of my groin. this is equal parts funny and uncomfortable :-) i can still feel your other foot over the top of my right hip, so i guess you still have that leg up by your ear. you poor guy...that does not sound comfy. i should start calling you gumby.

today, a special friend of mine (and a special auntie to you), tika, came over to help me organize stuff for your room and to help me get more of your room set up. i'm not exactly brimming with energy these days, so the help was very welcome. washing and folding your tiny, adorable clothes was GREAT fun. i'm a bit of an organizational freak (about some things but not others), and i'm thoroughly enjoying figuring out the best, most efficient ways to organize the spaces you will live in for your first several months. did i mention you get to sleep next to mommy and daddy when you come home? i'm looking forward to that.

we will get to learn more about you next week, we should get to see you, and we will get to listen to you, too. we will have an exciting week next week :-)
