two months!

dear van,

you turned 2 months old on sunday. wow! i can't believe you've been here that long and that you've only been here that long.

on tuesday, i took you for your 2-month well check. it went pretty well. the doc and i discussed your reflux and the fact that your meds have made you feel better but that they are not a 100% fix. i guess i'm dreaming if i think there is such a thing. you got your vaccinations on tuesday, and that was torture for both of us. wednesday was a really tough day for both of us as you did not feel well and did not want to be put down at all. in addition to having gotten your vaccinations on tuesday, you also helped me to go a dr. appt. of my own, and as a result, you got NO sleep for nearly 7 hours. that's just not a good idea for a man of your age :-)

today is thursday, and you're doing much better. you've had a great day. niiiiccceee! it's even been a great day in terms of your tummy...you've eaten well all day today. you even agreed to sleep in your cradle swing for a whole 30 minutes! you haven't slept well in weeks. when you're only 9 weeks old, "weeks" is a large chunk of your life. i cringe to think if the sleep deficit you must be in.

i'm really hoping that the next few weeks bring you more peace and comfort. i ordered a book, thanks to a friend's recommendation, that i am hoping will help me better help you with your tummy issues.

well, i have much to tell the world about the goings on of you and your big sissy, so i better get to it!
